Bathroom Door Handle - Again

We must be in a cycle of little RV challenges. Our BR door handle is broken which means I will be putting in #3!   We are staying with the original because its the route with the least creativity!

As so many in the Neighborhood have said, RVing is not cheap.  Fortunately this time it is cheaper!

My latch is holding up so far but I did have some issues with the part that holds the door open when separating the lounge from the forward part of the coach.  A magnetic solution solved that problem.

Why do they keep breaking? Misaligned, misuse or something else?

On my T/K (only a few model years) the bathroom door latches open to block the aisle. The latch sticks out into the aisle, so it gets hit by people passing by from the entry door to the main seating area in back.  I've only had to replace it once, but the plastic wasn't meant to take a direct hit from the side.
Looking at them now;   Amazon.com: RV Drawer Latches and Catches, 4 Pack RV Cabinet Door Replacement...   The usage seems to be meant for an 'inside the drawer' latch.  So maybe the LD factory was using these to hold the doors open, and they weren't really meant for that use.  At least they are easily available, not very expensive.  For those owners who have worn out that 'V' in the metal rolling metal drawer guide, these can be installed inside the drawer, to hold it closed while driving.    RonB

In a word … plastic.

They must be made tinier and cheaper today; my 2003 FL's original bath latch is still intact
I do carry a spare, maybe that is why the original has not broken.
