Cleaning out window sealant
As I inspect my window seals on my 2021 I'm wondering if I can clean them up really good, tape them off, and use some 3M 5200 fast cure to go over the top of the existing seals? They aren't in horrible shape and I'm just wondering if "reskining" what's there after I clean thoroughly would be helpful?

If I was to remove the seal I did some searches on window sealing on this website but I could not find the techniques people use to remove the old sealant. I'm thinking a Dremel type tool would work but I'm not sure what kind of cut fitting to use.

Removing the old, intact sealant may cause more damage than any benefit. Clean the Factory sealant with solvent, mask the edges and then overcoat 5200 FC.

Oof 3M 5200 is pricey stuff. Anyone know approximately how many tubes it takes to get the windows done?

One caulking tube of 5200 FC will do all the windows and a end cap or two. It’s pricey but it is as good as it gets.
