Sticker shock
I know it's expensive to own a motorhome but these prices gave me pause.


I just had a safe T plus steering stabilizer installed along with an alignment. About half and half labor to parts.

$1,677

I think if I want to continue down this path of upgrades I'll install the shocks myself.

With shop time at $150-200 an hour, doing what you can will save you a lot of money.
It's been said many times, RVing is not a cheap lifestyle, you have got to pay to play.

Ted, it's a lot like snowmobiling, guys pay $20,000 for a snowmobile and then don't like the $20.00 trail pass. Recreation in all forms is kind of expensive.

In your scenario that trail pass would be $258 approximately.

But I get your point.

One advantage to the high prices is if one is buying a used RV.  A used RV needing shocks, suspension parts and other items will be pricey to repair.  So the price of the used RV should go down or be negotiable.
