Towing 2025 Camry on tow dolly - Owners manual silent on how to set up car
We are first time towing 2025 Camry Hybrid on tow dolly. It is a FWD car. No info in owners manual on set up procedure - just don’t flat tow. We put the car in neutral and power on so auxiliary lights will work. But the car dash is lit up with  all kinds of warning lights about  ABS and Power Steering warnings. Anyone have any experience with towing new model Toyota hybrids? Find lots of conflicting info online. We used to tow with Blue Ox but had to replace our car and decided to switch to tow dolly so we weren’t so restricted in choice of car to buy - flat towing cars are hard to find. Any ideas, suggestions welcome. We are driving/towing on the road right now and may be destroying our new car as we speak!

Hi CGoochee;  Online sources know more about your car and it's suitability for towing than you'll find here.
This source had a write up for a 2025 Toyota hybrid: 2025 Dinghy Towing Guide: An RV LIFE Exclusive - RV LIFE
The electrically applied rear parking brake would fail quickly! Sometimes the car catches fire and destroys the RV.
An excerpt: *With our Toyota Camry hybrid, I had to make sure the electric parking brake was off. The transmission, as such, has no “Park” position and the ignition is keyless. Getting it onto the American Tow dolly takes some maneuvering to insure adequate ground clearance. Upon arrival and starting the engine, I got multiple ECM errors including hybrid system failure. Using an OBDII code reader (from O’Reilly) showed no errors! Selecting the erase button on the code reader cleared all of the errors and returned the car to normal operation. Bringing the code reader along became another tool we needed when dolly-towing that vehicle."

Thanks RonB! My husband was able to turn off the electronic emergency parking feature before we started - so driving 3 hours 20 far and no fires here! I will def follow up on your link when we get to campground for more in depth search. Thanks for your quick reply! Appreciate it.

Make sure to check the straps that secure the front wheels after driving a short distance. I have seen cars come off dollys due to the straps loosening or not being tight enough to begin with, There is a lot of stress onthe straps.

There are so few vehicles that are flat towable today. One of the most popular vehicles is the older Honda CR-Vs, but the towable models are ten years old or older (2015 or older). Jeeps are popular but very heavy. 4X4s with a true neutral transfer case can be towed, but once again, most are very heavy.
Surprisingly, many of Ford's hybrid cars are towable, with the Maerick being a good choice, with great gas mileage..
The Chevy Trailblazer AWD is lightweight and, at 3200 lbs, is another choice for flat towing.

Your Camry, with the dolly are at the maximum towing weight with the Factory hitch; you might consider upgrading the hitch and bumper hardware.
