Load Center circuit breaker rating?
Does anyone know the current rating of the fuse or (self-resetting?) circuit breaker between the house batteries and the DC Load Center? In my mid-bath, it is physically located under the refrigerator. I think I added a photo of the device, although Preview is not showing the photo.

In my rig it is 50A. I bypassed it by connecting both cables the the same post, and adding a new manual reset breaker in the battery compartment. That avoids issues with increased contact resistance over time and poor access.

I like Steve's idea. Those tiny circuit breakers that Lazy Daze installed are cheap and untrustworthy. I replaced mine with a Blue Sea heavy-duty manual reset breaker.

And by the way, those ring terminals look thin, and the crimps are not exactly robust. I'd want to replace those with power lugs--not battery lugs--and crimp them at least twice (at 90° between crimps) using a heavy-duty crimping tool. Add shrink tubing... aw, you know the drill. :-) What you've got there isn't something I'd feel safe with.

That is how it left the mothership. I will upgrade as you suggest. I have a hydraulic crimper.

I know. Lazy Daze's wiring practices were no worse than any other RV manufacturer, but unfortunately that's not saying much. Nowadays we know how to do better (what marine technicians have known for a while).

I was just looking under the fridge to see if I could find the fuse mentioned, but I don’t see one. Did Lazy Daze relocate it at some point?

That CB below the fridge on the MB was moved to the battery bay, replaced by a 90 amp resettable CB. At least on my 2016 MB.

OK, that explains it. Thanks!
