Re: Roof Reseal Reply #1 – June 03, 2025, 03:45:19 pm Roof coatings cover the entire roof when only the perimeter seams need periodic resealing. Coating the entire roof has few benefits and makes any future roof work very difficult. I made the mistake of coating the roof of our 1983 LD with a similar coating. Even with the suggested preparation, the coating started peeling within a few years...what a mess! The cost of a roof coating is high and involves a lot of work to prep and apply. To coat the roof of your LD would need the 5-gallon bucket, at $426 plus shipping.RV Roof Magic - Store - RV Roof ShopFor the roof seams, many here have used Eternabond Tape for decades, self included.. Our roof was resealed with Eternabond 20 years ago, and it is still holding up. It's hard to argue with success. I have taped two or three dozen LD roofs with Eternabond and never had a failure that I know of.Two rolls of Eternabond and a couple of tubes of Dicor are less than $150.Amazon.com: EternaBond RoofSeal White 4" x50' MicroSealant UV Stable RV Roof...Amazon.com: Dicor 551LSW-1 HAPS-Free NON-Leveling Lap Sealant - 10.3 Oz,...Titebond makes many types of products, I use their wood glue.I use either polyurethane or Dicor for overcoating the old sealant around the vents and antenna. Dicor is inexpensive and has a very long track record.Larry 5 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.
