Blown Circuit Breaker? April 07, 2025, 10:18:04 pm Hi All,This for my 2005 26' mid bath.Hunkered down in the town of Burns OR. The circuit breaker for my GFI plugs has seemed to have blown. It popped at some point this afternoon and when I try to flip it back up it just pops back down without ever resetting. I assume this is a blown breaker, but asking here if that sounds right. It's the middle breaker with the white reset button on the bottom. If it is simply blown it seems like an easy fix, but if I need to find a replacement, is there a specific part number. I'll check out the local hardware store (if there is one) to see if there is a replacement for it.Thanks,David

Re: Blown Circuit Breaker? Reply #2 – April 08, 2025, 02:43:48 am Hi David and Rich; the outside receptacle is powered by the GFCI, and when water gets into it, it causes power to leak to ground. That is a 'ground fault', and it is doing it's job. A 2005, at 20 years old, may have a bad seal around the outside outlet. Replacing the GFCI breaker won't help. My T/K has an open outlet in the refrigerator outside compartment; the other is used by the refrigerator. The plug seals the one outlet. I used a piece of electrical tape to seal off the open one. It faces front and would collect water while driving in rain. Temporarily David, some tape on the face of the socket might help keep water away from the contacts. RonB

Also those others who responded.I even know to push the switch down all the way before pushing it back to on - I've done it many times over the past 20 years. I thought I had tried this, and I was pretty sure it would be one of those wild goose chases that can happen when looking for the source of the problem, but it did the trick. Sometimes the easiest possibility is the correct one.Even after 20 years of traveling, this group has remained a rock solid source of helpful information and friendships. Thanks again,David G 5 Likes
