Update to LazyDaze owners manual DC power wiring
Hi Folks,
I was planning on swapping out my Parallax 8375 for a progressive dynamics replacement. As I looked at things, I discovered that the LazyDaze owners manual diagram #5 had not been updated for my 2016 MB. Since the 8375 can charge at 75 amps, LD upsized the ground and power wires to a #4 size to handle the amps.
Also the “hidden” cb is now in the battery compartment and also upgraded to a 90 amp.
To my diagram, I also added the 150 amp breaker that feeds the generator starter, also in the batt compartment.
There also is a 150 amp breaker next to the chassis (ford) battery that feeds the DC power contactor which gets energized with the engine running.
Anyhow, being an old aircraft tech guy who did a stint in technical publications, I like accurate info for my equipment. LD pubs are a little out of date here and there as I have discovered. Attached are my edits to the drawing.
