Where Hidden 12V Reset Switch 2018 Mid-Bath?
Wondering if anyone know where the hidden reset switch is?

House batteries are charging on solar, when driving, from the generator - but, not maintaining charge when plugged in to shore power.
 
Anything else I should be looking at?

To find the 'hidden' breaker, it should be located under the refrigerator on the left side when the drawer is removed.
It should look like one of these circuit breakers.

Some hidden breakers have a reset button, while others automatically reset.

There are no hidden breakers on the newer midbaths. All DC large breakers are in the battery bay.  Odd that they charge from the generator but not from shore power. Both AC sources run the converter which charges the batteries.  Do your outlets work while on shore power?

Hi; I think Kitty meant the Alternator (driven by the V10 engine), not the gererator, which usually denotes the Onan 4KW separate engine/generator pair.  So charging by engine alternator goes directly into the coach batteries via that big solenoid relay under the hood, and a 150 Amp circuit breaker (usually) in the back upper area of the battery box. 
   Charging from shore power or Onan generator requires a charge line from the converter back to the batteries. That one is usually hard to find, as Larry said. If popped, the batteries aren't getting charged from shore or generator, and will decline until dead, if the solar can't keep up. 
    I believe that circuit breaker is open.       RonB

Thanks everyone!

Will have to run a test to see if anything is happening from the generator (have only tried it daytime when solar is active.
When testing with a voltmeter, no power out of the converter, so pretty sure that's it.

Glad to hear  that there may be no inline breaker cause if it's there we sure can't find it. I've literally taken photos of every inch of the space under the fridge and in front of the water tank to the back of the converter and still not seeing a thing that looks like a breaker :-)

Hi Kitty;  So is there power to the converter's battery charger/12V DC power supply?   110 Vac circuits will still be active, and the actual 12 vdc. fuses will supply power to the 'house' from the batteries, but the converter itself may not be powered up.  In my old 1999 TK, the converter is powered by a circuit breaker in the 110VAC breaker panel.  The handle when 'tripped' is half way between off (usually down) and on (usually up).  It's hard to discern sometimes that it is tripped.  Push the handles up on all the breakers, and the one labeled for the converter, may return to halfway. You need to preload the spring by pushing it all the way down, off. Then turn it back on, by firmly pushing the handle all the way up. 

   You do have a circuit breaker between the converter charger, and the batteries.  It may look like :  Amazon.com: Blue Sea Systems 7189 285 Series Circuit Breaker, Surface Mount,...  It may have a black swing handle, or another color.  It may be for a different value.  100 Amps, 50 or 60 Amps, possibly lower at 40 or 30 Amps.  With interior LED lighting, power demand in the coach is much lower than it used to be.  This breaker could be in the battery box.  The battery box may have another breaker also. That would be the charge line coming from the V10 engine alternator to the batteries, and is only active when the engine is running.  (ok, active other ways but not really pertinent here).   RonB

Question - are the lights, etc working at night when NOT plugged in? If so, then it will NOT be the converter-to-battery breaker. Check instead the fuses on the converter board.

Yes, we do have a circuit breaker that looks like this located in the battery bay and we've reset it. Ours has a black swing handle.

I talked to Vince earlier today and he'll be helping pin it down/diagnose what's going on. I have an appointment once we get to LA and he'll replace the converter, batteries whatever is needed whatever is needed to keep us humming along :-)

Interestingly he said he's not a fan of upgrading the Lazy Daze rigs to lithium batteries (especially now that the factory is closed) and would be inclined to stick with the AGMS.

Happy to hear Vince is still interested in doing Lazy Daze work, though his lithium comment is interesting, wonder why?

Kitty, again, from your description it cannot be the circuit breaker in the battery box. There is no problem between the batteries and the converter. Check the circuit breaker in the AC panel for the converter, and the fuses on the converter circuit board.

 Hi Kitty;  When you have Vince check your battery problem, We'd like an update on the problem.
   Your situation with such a new rig, brought to mind a similar situation about premature failure of the converter (charger section)  of similar aged rigs.   A link:  Almost New Parallax 8355, no 12V DC   starting near Reply#5.
    My friend Mike, ended up at Montclair having Lazy Daze replace the entire box of 'power distribution/converter/charger' because at just a few months old he wanted to retain OEM status.  The other person(s), (Dave &Lee) opted to replace the converter charger portion.   RonB

Update: We believe the reset breaker between the converter and battery is located in the battery box for our 2018 mid-bath rig.

Vince verified our converter was bad (we had working 110v outlets, 12v system working, solar charging the batteries and alternator charging the batteries. Shore power and generator not charging the batteries). He installed a new Progressive 8355 converter (we did not change out the power distribution panel).

The new converter failed within 24 hours and at that point Vince worked us into his schedule, did continuity checks which looked ok, and installed a new one under warranty (the Thurs before Christmas).

It's still working and we're keeping our fingers tightly crossed a manufacturing defect in the converter and if we have another failure plan to upgrade to the Progressive Dynamics converter.

Vince looked at our surge protector and mentioned over the years he's bad experiences with a number of surge protectors; he's not a fan.

After Vince's comment about bad experiences with surge protectors looked into it. Learned the one we were using only protects against very large power surges (hundreds or thousands of volts) and not over or under voltage.

Thanks for the update, Kitty. My fingers are crossed as well that your converter issue is solved!

Regarding the surge protector, did Vince have any comments regarding a hard-wired versus portable unit?

He commented he found many problems with both the hard-wired and portable. LD apparently was putting in the hard-wired surge protectors for a time, but discontinued them.

If my memory is correct, I had one of those put in our 2015.  Do not know exactly what happened, but very shortly in service, it stopped functioning.  The only thing could be done was to take it out of the circuit.  I'm very happy taking the theft risk and using the portable.

Interesting update:

We wondered if perhaps the TempAssure module that plugs into the converter could be the source of the failure
So we filled out their "Contact the Experts" form and received the interesting response:
"It is possible the TempAssure module failed and took out the converter."

They offered us a warranty claim on the TempAssure Module (can't take them up on the offer since we're the second owners ).

Curious if anyone knows when LazyDaze started using the TempAssure modules?

The new converter has been holding just fine without the TempAssure Module (we'd had Vince unplug it after the first converter replacement failed within 24 hours).

Now our debate is whether we ought to purchase a new TempAssure Module or simply live without it.

Anyone have sage wisdom/advice on the potential consequences of not doing the temperature compensation on our Lifeline AGM batteries?

Hi Kitty: see my response Reply #23 in the  "Almost New Parallax 8355" thread.       Almost New Parallax 8355, no 12V DC       Because you have the solar panels, and the SB3000i solar controller; that unit also has temperature compensated charging (that works)    You could unplug the TempAssure and leave it off.  Charging wouldn't be as good at low temperatures, and maybe it would over charge the batteries at high tempertaures. In my opinion, I think that wouldn't be too much of a problem. There might be third party solutions to this. RonB
