window rubber seal repair.
I've noticed a separation on my exterior rubber window seals. I thought about using a black window seal caulk or gasket.
what are your thoughts ?

Thanks!

The external gasket is designed to push the glass against the sealant. Sealing is on the inside of the frame. So a little shrinkage of the outside gasket is normal.

Thanks Steve.
Leaving the gap alone will not cause moisture or water damage?

The small gaps caused by the weatherstripping shrinking from age should not cause problems, other than cosmetic.
If the gap bothers you, it can be filled with a black polyurethane sealant; avoid using any type of silicone sealant.
