LD 3-in-1 tank additive
Getting our (new to us) 2007 mid bath ready for the weekend, and found 2 bottles of the "3 in 1 holding tank treatment" (photo attached) in the bathroom. Very cool and very vintage. Don't plan on using them but will definitely be keeping them for nostalgia value.

Just wanted to share, no real question.

The chemicals inside that bottle would likely be formaldehyde based.  Pretty poisonous and not legal in many states and campgrounds now.  Some dump stations are like home septic 'seep into the water table' systems.
" California strictly prohibits the use and sale of non-biodegradable, toxic chemical toilet additives in RVs, particularly formaldehyde, to protect septic systems and groundwater. Banned substances include formaldehyde, bronopol, dowicil, glutaraldehyde, and paraformaldehyde. Only biodegradable, enzyme, or citrus-based products are allowed. "
I use a mostly enzyme based (I'd have to look at a bottle) that works well, so a good solution for me.  And also easier for municipal water treatment plants to handle.   RonB

RonB - good point, that is good to know. While I had no intention of using them, I think I will now find a suitable container to dump the contents into and haul off as hazardous waste (WA state) and then just keep the containers as memorabilia.

Jor - aptly stated. I noted that as well.
