Anybody recognize this “mystery box”? June 27, 2025, 04:35:15 pm I was studying the water pump & related today, so that I could feel ready to perform a swap if necessary while on the road. I don’t have any idea what this white box is (between the water pump & the electrical panel). It looks like a speaker or alarm of some sort. I’m guessing the original owner had installed it.Any of you know what it is?
Re: Anybody recognize this “mystery box”? Reply #1 – June 27, 2025, 04:49:04 pm I’m guessing it’s a moisture alarm in case the water pump or related piping leaks. Looks like an isolation valve was installed as well, which is good! 4 Likes
Re: Anybody recognize this “mystery box”? Reply #2 – June 27, 2025, 07:23:33 pm It's a water alarm. Held in place by a couple of Velcro dots, so you should be able to pull it right off. It probably needs a new battery. 2 Likes

As Andy said it probably needs a battery. Since it is next to a 12vdc source, you could use this one: 12V DC Wired Water Detectors Water Leak Alarm Module Leakage Flood Sensor... Double the price, but no battery required. RonB 3 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.

Re: Anybody recognize this “mystery box”? Reply #8 – June 29, 2025, 09:50:55 am In both of my Lazy Daze coaches I installed this style water sensor. <Reliance Controls THP205 Reliance Sump Pump Alarm with Flood Alert, 9 V...;I placed the sensor element on the floor by the water pump and the other on the floor under the sink and next to the water heater. What I liked was that the electronics and battery case could be placed in a location easily accessible to annually change the battery. Also the alarm sound would not be muffled by cabinetry. 4 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.
