Re: Additional Opening Under Mid-Bath Dinette Reply #25 – May 21, 2025, 11:06:25 am You might want to consider an old standby of mine: iron-on wood veneer edge trim. It's easy to work with, available in a variety of woods, and gives a very nice finished appearance. I've used it on many plywood projects over the years and have always been pleased with the results.
Re: Additional Opening Under Mid-Bath Dinette Reply #26 – May 21, 2025, 11:32:39 am For Larry and others, I think this is a manufacturers site, not really open to the public. You searched for plastic edge trim woodgrain | Page 9 of 11 | JR Products Many parts are for RV's. As I scroll through their products, I recognize many Lazy Daze parts. They are located in Buffalo NY, or nearby. I suspect they don't sell to the public, but if they make the parts, somebody is buying them. Maybe just RV manufacturers. (no prices listed). RonB
Re: Additional Opening Under Mid-Bath Dinette Reply #27 – July 31, 2025, 06:30:46 pm Three months later, I finally finished (almost) my under-the-dinette-bench storage. Sometimes life gets in the way.As you can see from the second pic, my cuts are horrendous. My cutting positions were too awkward for me. I used a combination of a small plunge cut circular saw and a jigsaw. Luckily, the framing pieces cover the worst of it.I still plan to put a light colored poly stain on the frame. I'm also thinking of using a slightly darker stain on the inside areas behind the frame to make any visible ragged cuts less visible. I've added a motion-activated light so I can see better when I'm rummaging around. I use open tool kits because sometimes I can just grab what I need from the top or sides of the kits.Thank you, everyone, for your inspiration! 8 Likes
