End caps
Well having lots of fun with a dry rotted corner, there is really no support wood left, just long screws. Questions do these screws terminate under the end cap? And does anyone know where to source the end cap or any alternate ideas

Hi Mike; well, a good bit of rot there.  Your work is cut out for you.  I suspect rot is somewhere in my rig, but I've cut holes in a lot of places, and haven't found it yet. A few rusty screws and staples in various locations.  I have a moisture detector that I run across the ceiling and walls, around windows. (inside, it doesn't penetrate aluminum)   Got it at Costco a few years back.  Keep us up to date with your progress!  RonB

From the photos, it looks like the end caps were leaking
Yes, the screws terminate under the end caps.
There were a few end caps available a couple of years ago. You might contact Todd to see what, if anything, is left.

Try not to destroy the end caps, you probably will not be able to replace either side. The end caps were custom made for LD and are not an off-the-shelf item. I have cut them loose using a vibratory tool with a shape chisel blade. It can be a tough job.
