Flushing the Water Heater October 23, 2025, 10:15:17 pm As part of our regular maintenance schedule, I flushed the water heater this evening. I’m always surprised as to the amount of material flushed out. But I’m certain I don’t get it 100% clean because a small amount of the stuff keeps flushing out. Do some eventually get a very clean flush?

The first indication of the problem was lower water pressure. That was caused by those chunks of calcium in the brass valve. Took out the valve and checked it. Not good. Bought a new water heater and cut the old one open for fun. Here's a couple more photos.jor 1 Likes
