edit by RonB:  So many wrong things in this article!  Many of the issues are just slightly wrong!  This is how a lot of misinformation gets out there. I'm sure it is not intentional.  Yes Steve Newton is still alive!

From the Lazy Daze fan group on Facebook, as was readily apparent, there were lots of errors, it’s being worked:

*** Update - I’ve been in touch with Tony Bartel and his article has updated. At a quick glance, it appears to be back on track. I always appreciate a second set of eyes, so if anyone else sees anything off, let me know. Thanks!

Good Afternoon Lazy Daze Fam…

Unfortunately I had to remove the link that was posted by Todd Fitch. He didn’t do anything wrong but the article was riddled with quite a bit of misinformation. I contacted Tony Bartel who is NOT a member of this FB group and requested a correction and or retraction regarding the misinformation. As of this writing, I have not heard back from him.

* Tony did contact me at the time of the Factory’s closing but his request to interview Steve Newton was declined for personal reasons.

Also, Steve was just recently on the Factory’s property clearing weeds in person, so happy to report that he was very much alive while performing that task 😅

Please do not encourage others to read or reshare Tony’s article until he makes the appropriate corrections. TIA
