Extra Fan on 12 Volt Frig July 16, 2025, 05:09:42 pm The Dometic 12v is performing fine but I have noted that the little compressor gets pretty hot so I added an extra fan. I happen to be measuring the frig's energy usage now so maybe I'll even see a difference. The little guy is being put to the test with 100+ degrees down here. jor 3 Likes

Re: Extra Fan on 12 Volt Frig Reply #2 – July 18, 2025, 06:21:55 pm I am considering this. Would it be practical to have a switch like a thermal switch that activates at a certain temperature? 1 Likes

I have it blowing toward the compressor now. The roof vent is closed off. QuoteWould it be practical to have a switch like a thermal switch that activates at a certain temperature? Yea, that would be ideal. I figured I have plenty of battery and these little fans draw a minuscule amount of current so why not. If I had one laying around I would have included it. jor 1 Likes
