Engine Battery Replacement Question
Hi, All -- I feel like I should know the answer to this question, but. . .

I am going to take the rig in for a new engine battery.  Should I turn off the battery isolation switch to the house batts first?  I was told that the solar panels also trickle charge the engine batt.  My guess is yes, but I would appreciate some expert opinions.

As usual, thank you in advance for all responses.

Hi Ray, that isolation switch is to keep the batteries from discharging during storage. As far as the chassis battery it is unnecessary to disconnect them.

Also this is a very DIY job if you have ever replaced a car battery before. Costco also will probably save you the most money if you have a membership but bring in the old battery for the $15 core refund.

Thanks, Joe B.  Yes, I know that it is an easy job.  But I am taking the rig in for new shocks and an alignment, so just want to get it all done at once.
