Folks I know that live in the humid PNW use a one to one ratio of laundry bleach to water, applied with a hudson sprayer.
Let it sit a while before scrubbing and rinsing.
You can also use a commercial cleaner made for this purpose.

We've had excellent luck with Wet and Forget for moss and mildew on concrete/stonework, plus it doesn't have the risk of bleaching your clothes.
Hello Fellow Mildew-Fighter:
I have used the following potion:
1 part dish detergent (Dawn)
10 parts bleach
20 parts water
----
For a small area:
1 Tbspn dish detergent (Dawn)
1/2 cup bleach
1 cup water
----
One can daub with a rag or put into a dedicated spray bottle to spray and scrub.
Rinse generously with clean water.
Whatever you use to tackle the mildew, algae or mold, be in a ventilated area, if not in the wide open.
