Hello fellow lazy dazers! 😁
My mom and dad just purchased thier very own 1998 Island Bed 30'!! So exciting!
It does not have an owners manual with it... does anyone have an extra (I doubt it) or one that we could duplicate somehow? I would pay for any copying charges.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I have a 2006 RK and I could not love it more!! Ive been living in it full time for almost 4 years now.
Welcome to the forum.
Lazy Daze would not allow us to have copies of the owners manual available on the forum, they were very possessive .
Many times a Forum member is able to provide a digital copy from a similar year.
The owners manual for your 2006 RK will have most of the important information already, the manuals are not floorplan-specific and changed very little from year to year.

I have a PDF copy of a 1998 manual. If you send me a private message that includes your e-mail address, I'll send the manual to you. Don't "publish" your e-mail address in public here, or the spammers will get it.

Since Lazy Daze is no more, is there any reason we couldn't have a section here in the Files/Media with PDFs of any manuals someone may have?
I think we still have the one from our 1999 and could probably scan and upload it.
I’d gladly scan our 2009 manual if this plan was implemented. Just say GO!
Edit: On second thought, I’m just going to scan it anyway and perhaps it might be helpful down the road.
I’d further suggest that someone collect all the PDF files and include them in 2-3 posts. Somewhat like the files in the “1999 to 2021 LD Original Prices, Specifications & Features Information” post. At that time, we were limited to a certain number of attachments in each post as mentioned in that post. I hope this makes sense?
For my 2013 31 IB, I have my manuals library in my Dropbox account. I scanned the manual for 'personal use' and do reduce the weight carried in the rig. It runs to about 78 MB. Also in the library are manuals for the appliances, Ford and Honda tow'd. The entire library is about 220 MB. If anyone is interested, DM me and I can send a link.

I've been trying for a couple days to send Liam a copy of the 1998 manual I have, using email, outside of LDO. He's not received it. I think Michelle's idea would be better; everyone could access a copy if it were here on LDO.
If someone would tell me the preferred location on LDO to which I could upload the manual copy I'll do that.

We will be creating a folder in the Media section where folks can upload their manuals. Give us a bit and I will post with an update.
ETA - done. PDFs of owners' manuals can be uploaded to this folder - please be sure to include the year it the item title to make it easy for folks to identify

Thanks - Steve is investigating
OK, please try again.
Tried just now and received the same error.

Sorry about that, it should *really* be fixed now
Yep! Thanks Steve and Michelle!
I just uploaded a 1998 manual. Note: It begins with a table of contents, not with a cover page.

Yep - works for me now also. Thank you!
First, let me say "oh my. I'm trying my hardest to scan those 160+ pages and so far it's giving me a headache. I haven't given up but it's not gonna be quick. I'm hopeful that one of the Faithful will beat me to the punch in regard to a 2009 manual. So one of my projects tomorrow is the tackle once again scanning that manual.

If you have a lot of documents, etc., receipts, tax forms, yadda yadda an automatic scanner is worth the expense. I think I scanned 10 years of tax records (forums and supporting documentation) in less than 1/2 hour with the predecessor (ix1600) to this ScanSnap
Amazon.com: ScanSnap iX2500 Wireless or USB High-Speed Cloud Enabled... (https://amzn.to/3XDFp84)
I can do both sides, mixed widths, auto-straighten images, OCR/make searchable PDFs, etc. I actually look for things to scan now ;)

For copying pages of things I don't want to disassemble for the scanner, I use my Iphone to take a photo and then copy the text directly from the photo and then paste it into a file.
It can be difficult to get a manual to lay flat in a non-glare light. I rarely use my scanner anymore.
If you don't mind removing the manual's staples, take it a UPS store or similar and have scanned.
