Hi TxCamper;  Congratulations on your 'New to You' Red MidBath.  I'm sorry that DaveCU60 had such a difficult time.  I hope your journey to get your rig back to running and camping is swift and easy.  Please keep us apprised of your progress. And Best of Luck!   RonB

The two-part polyurethane paint holds up extremely well, and not having a clear coat to fail is even better.
I'm glad the red is buffing out. The red paint used a few years later faded quickly; there were quite a few red LD owners who were not happy.
Andy had the red sections repainted on his 2003 MB a few years later due to fading.

Thanks Ron , ya Dave had bad luck with mechanics . Its our first lazy and we're excited to get it fixed up and back on the road . I'm having a motor built right now with some upgrades like arp studs and a little aggressive cam , headers maybe electric cut outs for fun 😁. I love the cut outs on my 69 charger makes the ears ring lol. Thanks craig

Ya i was surprised at how well it's polishing up I've done almost one side and wow it's looking like new . The burgundy on the bottom shined to mirrior finish and it looked so faded I didn't have hope it would . I'll get some pics of the side .
Thanks Craig

I don't think the brand of polish used was disclosed. Would you be willing to share it?

I used harbor freight  meguiar's cutting compound , and next is their compounding then  their polishing compound and after all that a good coat of wax . Its also good to use a clay bar first to clean the paint . Their pads for the da are cheap 10 buck for 2 and you will need cutting pads , compounding pads and polishing pads . Harbor freight has a nice 6 inch da for i think was 150 . I've only done the cutting so far and it looks this good so can only think it's going to shine better.

Hi TxCamper; I had to look at Harbor Freight tools for a clue to 'DA', and I came up with 'Dual Action' buffing machines, as in orbital combined with rotational.  I hope that was correct.   As an example:   https://www.harborfreight.com/8-amp-6-in-forced-rotation-dual-action-polisher-59561.html  .
I have a Ryobi orbital polisher, that gets random orbital action when I don't hold it steady.  I also have had good results with Meguiars, and Washwaxall.
YMMV as Joan would have added.      RonB

Yes sir thats a da . They do a good job but does get warm pretty quickly I might go get that one so I can switch off and let one cool down.  Do you know where to get awning legs? There is only one leg and the bar I found , also a lazy dash cover?

Not sure what brand of awning a 1995 LD has, later models all had Fiamma awnings.

A Google search will find many dash cover vendors.

As far as the awning goes, if it is the same as our 94 then here are the manufacture and model number. If anything were to break , repair parts might be a problem.

Hi TxCamper (Craig);  Jon might have the awning you have, I don't know when Lazy Daze switched to Fiamma. If you have a Fiamma, the bar is probably a center rafter.  Inside the awning there should be a sticker that identifies the original Fiamma part number.   (Picture is my part number for a '99)    RonB

Appreciate that Ron : i haven't pulled the awning out yet so I will have a look for that tag . Dave said he thought he might know where to get one but said he used it with one with no issues but I'd rather have both .
