Title: More Light
Post by: jor on August 12, 2025, 02:25:48 pm
Changed out the kitchen ceiling light and the bathroom light. So now I have bright illumination in the areas that I want it and LED modified OEM lights in all the others. Just right for me.

We changed all of our LD 97 fluorescent fixtures to LED units. Was going to modify the fluorescent fixtures to LED tubes done by replacing fluorescent tubes and  rewiring fixtures, but then decided it was better to just put in all new fixtures for about $33 each. There were 6 fluorescent fixtures in total.

The previous owner replaced all the small light fixtures with LED bulbs.

I just bought an LED bulb for the Range Hood which will be much brighter than the old incandescent bulb.

Good tip. I thought I was 100% LED. Forgot about that little guy.

Great idea! Anyone have a part number or source?

We replaced the range hood light with an LED also but with a lesser bright bulb since we use the range hood light as a ambient night light which we leave on most of the time.  We originally had a brighter one but did not need a bright bulb to cook with so we decided we liked the dimmer one for the ambient light setup.

Greg it might be this one.  It was a flat style plugin.
