Title: Q on the LD 23.5 length
Post by: Boca on August 08, 2025, 07:32:52 pm
Hi everyone, first post.  wondering if the 23.5 model is considered under 24ft for some of the restricted National parks RV size limits even though it is techincal 24' 6"

Thanks

Yes, the 23.5’ models are indeed under 24’, bought mine specifically to fit in those small national park spots, and most regular sized parking spaces.

Pre 2008 when Ford added some 'snout' on the front of the chassis, my E350 was 23', 4-1/2" at the bumper, but the tire bustle stuck out another 1-1/2" for a total of 23.5'. The Ford additional length should have been the extra 5" that Steve TK reports.
It is my experience that other manufacturers mis-represent the length trying to make short ones longer, and long ones shorter. My friend with a 2017 class 'A' has a 33'. but in reality it is 11" longer than that.  A driver at a maintenance place ripped of the back bumper, the building won. It has been in for repair since January '25 and is still waiting for parts.  (dealers insurance $, but unusable...)  RonB
