We have been paying storage for a 1995 26' mid bath for almost 3 years.
Long story :(
It overheated on a short trip and we were told it needed a head gasket and were sold 1600 in parts before they said they didn't have time to do it.
A mobile mechanic tore it apart in our driveway and said it it needed a new engine but claimed he couldn't find one- 2021 post-covid.
A 3rd mechanic said he could replace the engine in the spring so we towed to a storage unit near his shop. In spring, he called to say that his 2 top techs has quit and he couldn't do it.
After 1 or 2 more unsuccessful tries to find a mechanic, we decided the it might not longer be worth it.
So we need to find out how to sell it for salvage? Maybe an LD fan would be interested?
Most everything inside is in great shape-including $1600 in NEW head gasket parts.

Put it on craigslist or facebook marketplace with an explanation and plenty of pictures. Set a price you would be very happy with, and expect people to try to negotiate down from there.
Someone will have the skills and ability and desire to take on the project. Or maybe someone is looking for a RV that doesn't move (maybe extra beds at a rural property or something).
Selling this way can be a hassle (lots of low ballers and people who aren't serious) but it can be done.

Can I get some pics of it?
Hi DaveCU60; It is sad to hear about the problems you have and are having, getting your engine repaired. The Ford 460 CID engine was and still is a workhorse. There should be rebuilt engines still available. It sounds like there could have been easier repairs possible, but after having it torn apart; you have been left "holding the bag".
TxCamper seems interested, and you should move your thread to the Classified section with pictures of your rig, and a better description of which chassis you have, and where the rig is presently, etc. Please use the preferred format, and a repeat of the problems that lead to selling. here: Placing a classified ad (https://www.lazydazeowners.com/index.php?topic=28653.0) Thanks. Dave -- We recently had an older Chalet hard-sided folding camping trailer that we had not used for several years. When the kids and grandkids were younger, we used to tow the Chalet behind our LD Rear Bath and used it as a "spare" bedroom. It worked well, but the years passed and the thing just sat there and deteriorated some .. . . So, a few months ago we donated it to Kars4Kids, as is. They handled everything, including the pickup, and we got a tax credit.
I'm interested in buying it from you .
