Title: Replacement Battery for the E-450 Chassis
Post by: pdl2win on July 01, 2025, 04:11:28 pm
Last time I needed to replace our chassis battery it was done through the local Ford dealer, who no longer works on RVs (as mentioned in an earlier post).  I just stopped by Costco to see if they carry Interstate Batteries for the E-450.  The online battery directory for Costco doesn't have the E-450 listed but after doing some digging he just said "oh it needs a 65 which we have plenty of".

Sound right?

Our 2009 Ford E-450 uses a Group Size 65 battery. I’ve been advised that is a common size for Ford trucks and vans with E-Cold Cranking Amps of around 750 to 850 CCA, depending on the battery brand.  I bought ours from O’Reily which has a 3 year warranty as I remember.  They’ve been good about honoring their warranties.   Costco is also great which is where we bought our inexpensive 6V house batteries. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for the validation

I needed my battery replaced a few years ago in Puerto Penasco, and luckily there was an AutoZone there...
