I don't fully understand. I am guessing you might be talking about the dog house that covers the engine? If so the carpet wraps around it so well from the LD factory that it is hard to remove. I think there is only two latches, but wait for others to confirm.

If you are referring to the doghouse, there are four latches. To make it less difficult, pop off the trim on both sides.

Thanks everyone, there are 2 latches on both side of doghouse,  pulling it off will probably take some careful effort

Hi Bob;  Removing the 'doghouse' is the best, and nearly the only way, to get the radio in and out. There are two high latches, and as Jor said taking off the under dash covers will help that. Those covers just pull off with friction clasps. Those trim panels cover up the collision steel panels.
The lower two latches have a fold down handle. Unfold the handle and unscrew the latch to release tension on the 'doghouse' hooks.  To get to mine, the factory covered those latches with carpeting.  The flaps of carpet over those release latches were screwed down. So I had to remove many of those screws right at the base.  Your 2007 may not have those screws.  I didn't replace any of the screws and the carpet flaps stay in place well. (until I try to vacuum that area).  If you add any wiring for the radio, it should be placed in plastic wire loom (Harbor Freight) and ty-wrapped up out of the way. The wiring will droop down when you are trying to get the 'doghouse' engine cover back on.
It took about 3 minutes to get the cover off/on in my old Dodge. (not LD)  It takes about an hour or three to get the cover off and back on for the older Lazy Dazes.  New LD's seem easier with less carpet involvement.   RonB

I had someone install my radio, but here is a photo of the install for my 2017 TK, doghouse was not removed.

I know it is 10 years newer but I doubt there is little difference as my cab looks just like the E450 cab of my 2004/2006 rentals.

have changed my mine, will not replace radio.  I am selling my rig and the new owner can replace what he or she wants

rather than what I would replace.

Thanks everyone
