Title: Window Seals - Do I need to seal bottom of perimeter?
Post by: wbraack on April 28, 2025, 08:24:47 pm
Hello,

I’m about to reseal my windows with 3M 5200. I dug out three sides of the perimeter (top, left, right). I saw in previous forums some folks are not resealing the bottom as to give water a spot to drain and water won’t travel up. I wonder about high winds and rain.

Anyways, do you seal bottom of windows?

After a good cleaning, I seal the top and two sides, leaving the bottom open so that any water that gets in can drain out.
Make sure the window drains are clean.
