Title: Starting generator

Will the Onan 4000 generator start using the engine battery only or will it need to be connected a 30 amp outlet or use the house batteries. I pulled my house batteries for the Winter.

The generator needs the coach battery installed to start. The converter is not powerful enough and the battery isolator will not pass enough amperage to start the generator. I would not try to start it without the battery, this may destroy the isolator.
