Title: Nice to have you back old friend
Post by: Mattb on July 21, 2024, 10:10:24 pm
For the past 18 months or so my cruise control activation has behaved erratically and 3 weeks ago it stopped working at all. My first stop has always been the "Lazy Day Companion" and I was thrilled to see that access had recently been restored. Sure enough,  there was a "cruise control" article that described my symptoms exactly and more importantly, a detailed description of a  fix to try before a trip to the repair shop. I purchased the suggested part as per the instructions, installed it as per instruction and problem resolved. i just wanted to thank both  the author and the community members who restored access. You are all awesome!

Congratulations on making your repair and saving a few bucks.
What part was replaced?

Yea, it's great to have that invaluable resource back on line. Whenever I do anything I like to check there first. Being a newby, I found it especially useful when I first got this rig. No sense reinventing the wheel on projects.

Hi Larry,

It was the Motorcraft SW6350 Cruise Control Release Switch. I purchased it from RockAuto.

Cheers!
