Post by: Larry W on February 11, 2024, 05:43:13 pm
Every 50,000 miles, our LD's power steering and brake booster fluid is flushed and the added filters to the return line are replaced.

With 145,000 miles and a lot of travel coming up, the job was done last weekend. Magnafine filters are now used to replace the older screen filters, with one each on the steering and brake return lines.

The Owners Manual calls for Mercon V fluid, it was replaced with Valvoline Multi-Vehicle (ATF) Full Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid, which has a Mercon V rating. It is the same fluid used in the transmission and was recommended by the transmission builder.
