The non-skid on my running boards was lookin' a little grubby. I ordered replacements from Todd. A little pricey at $71.20 but look real purdy.

Although you might have had to trim a bit you could have sourced the same from Lowe's or Home Depot, probably at less cost! Worked well on my portable steps! My retractable electric steps still look good after 19 years of foot travel.

I do that on the entry steps but I don't think I could have gotten the cut quite right on the running boards. I prefer the factory look there.

Yes. Came off easily with a heat gun and putty knife.
I still have to replace the 1" strip on the side. I'll buy a roll of non-skid and trim it to size. Todd told me they stopped installing that piece and referred to them as "ankle rippers!"

Ankle rippers they are. I chewed up my calf the week we took delivery.
Lazy Daze must’ve got enough complaints that they deleted the ankle ripper strip at some point. Our 2017 does not have it.

Our 2003 LD has the side strips and they have done a bit of damage to our calves over the years.
Good that the Factory finally realized how hazardous they can be.

Hi Don and Greg; The older running board nonskid rolled over the edge and was sure to 'get you' if you tried to hit the ground without using the running board as an intermediate step. After 23 years the grit is mostly gone, and I've painted over the step with semigloss black paint to make it look better, and further dull the carborundom sharp stuff. I don't go around barefoot anymore, so the grit is ok. I suspect the uncovered steps with any amount of water would be treacherous, along with the entry steps and the back bumper under the ladder. The newer design should be more friendly for mis-steps. RonB
