Looks like a nice unit. The ad states it’s a 5-speed transmission but it should be a 6-speed.

Another 40-year-old LD . This description should be taken seriously.
"It has some water damage because it leak at sometime but i seal it ."
Translated, " It has rot everywhere" Typical for ancient RVs including old LDs and an immediate pass.
Being stored in a rainy environment, this isn't unexpected.

Just saw this on RV Trader for anyone looking for a newer TK.
I thought this rig looked familiar so I looked in our classified section and confirmed that this rig was listed in 6/2022 for $135K. The seller resides in Illinois. In the classified thread of comments, I read that the price got reduced to $119K. Apparently it never sold and the seller further reduced the price to 101K and relisted it in RV Trader. I am guessing that this price is near what it originally cost new in 2019 or when it was sold in 2020. Pictures look very nice........

Thank you very much for letting others know this information.
I have a strong feeling the economy is going to get worse. Since interest rates continue rising, some people may not feel comfortable making large purchases. The price could drop more.
As I have stated, if individuals wait, they may miss out on an opportunity. I regret turning down the opportunity to purchase a new LD from the factory.

I agree. Prices will drop further. But purchasing an RV is only the start of your expenses. Fuel purchases, cost to store, maintain, repair, modify, insure and operate an RV makes RVing very expensive. Furthermore, I find it shocking how much a daily site costs at some RV “Resorts”. Used to get a luxury hotel for those prices.
Both LDs on RV Trader are priced quite high. The small LD is asking about $4,000 above new price. The larger LD is only discounted about $16,000 from when it was new 5 years ago. These would have been gobbled up a year ago. But today things are quite different.

I think we all can agree with your observations of the extra added costs associated with RV ownership. Those costs have always been there, but with inflation and mostly "greed" (my opinion) most associated costs are greatly magnified. Nonetheless, I personally would rather take our best friends along (dogs, lol) when we travel and be able to stay in my own familiar surroundings. Many in our group feel the same way or have children or grandchildren that they like to travel and camp with. Motels and hotels don't fill this need for us.
Lazy Daze RVs still turn heads and seem to hold their value even after the factory has closed its doors. With Steve's decision to close, many of us were concerned that we would be unable to get repairs done or have access to parts. With Todd's help and and the various independent repair facilities, things seem to be holding together. I still dream that some investor would bankroll Todd or another company could resurrect the Lazy Daze factory. I realize that is unlikely, especially in today's economy. A well-maintained Lazy Daze RV still holds its value and would sell if it is priced fairly. There are a lot of SOB RVs on the market at the moment, some dealers selling new SOB RVs at a 40% discount. It is probably not realistic to expect to sell your RV for what you paid for it, especially since the mother-ship has closed its doors.
Just my opinion,
Gary & Karen and our doodles

Just seen this one. I know nothing about it. It is older.

Couldn’t stop laughing when I saw the asking price, $39,999, for a 1993.
Had to look to see if it was April 1st again.🤣
He may have spent $30,000 on the Anniversary style paint job.

Yeah but, it’s super rare!
Someone bought an old LD, in relatively good condition and went nuts with the paint job.
The interior is in great shape for a thirty-year-old RV, it must have been garaged most of its life.
If it was twenty years newer, it might be worth $40K.
Larry
If folks haven’t seen this ad, the “no expense renovation” appears to be excellent. I’m always pleased to see older LDs in such great condition. Used 1997 Lazy Daze 30 Rear Queen in Arvada, CO- RV Trader (https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/1997-Lazy+Daze-30+REAR+QUEEN-5027276868)
It looks beautiful, but I'd be somewhat hesitant to purchase it at 172,251 miles for the "firm" asking price...
Impressive interior make over. [The large vase on the floor would be so useful]
Have the fluids ever been changed. Belts, brakes, etc.???
Worth about 15K plus whatever the make over is worth to someone.
Scissor jack levelers? Hmmmmm
A perfect rig for those who have no modesty, there are no window coverings.
The snow-white interiors seen on older rigs are a way of covering up the peeling vinyl on the paneling, particularly on the doors.
The 1997 models had the 265-HP V10, as opposed to the later V10s with 305-HP.
That's a ton of money for a high mileage rig with few rebuilds Joan would have said, nice feathers but the guts are lacking.
Larry
Interesting they managed to integrate the 5-sp 2014 tranny with the rig. Perhaps the premium gas note is a misprint, or just what they elected to use...
Steve
Quibbles about age and pricing aside, I have to say: now that is how to advertise a rig! The photos are plentiful and gorgeous. That ad ought to be an example to anyone selling a Lazy Daze.
The video mentioned they have window coverings attached with magnets.
Purchased and renovated in 2020, a pandemic project.
Nicely documented, warts and all, at first glance a nice refresh. Given how much they redid, the original tattered doghouse carpet looks out of place, surprised that wasn’t replaced.
Can’t see buying it without being/knowing a good mechanic.

There is a beautiful 2017 31’ Island Bed, with 18,700 miles in the RV Trader. Asking $90K.

The original Factory price for a 2017 LD 31 was $110,000 without options. The asking price is either high or even better, used LDs are holding their value. Let’s hope the price reflects the latter condition.

Yes!!
It was the 2018 that was for sale a few months ago. It wasn't the right fit for that buyer. "Surfside" has now relocated to Michigan. Our trusty "Sand Castle" will be going up for sale soon.

Thanks for the invite. We will try to make it. We would love to meet some new friends and enjoy all the LD’s. I am trying to wrestle/buy my brothers popup from him (it is a 1994 in mint condition and sentiment is in play). It would allow us to camp until we find an RV we want. Hopefully all will work out and we will attend. I am racing in a 5k in Grand Rapids with my daughter and grand daughter on Sunday September 17 so we can come after that. Safe travels.

What floor plan, age, condition LD are you looking for? There aren't many that come available in the Midwest. When we get everything moved out of our 01 MB to the new rig it will be for sale.
Thanks for your heads up. We would consider 2013+ TK, any 31’ or MB in that order. Prefer LD stored under cover or indoors.
Probably waiting until Spring 2024 unless something falls in our lap. Storage is our current problem. Too expensive and not much available.

Our son is considering purchasing a
Mid-bath that is located 1500 miles away. He doesn’t remember our 1998 MB and hasn’t been in one since he was 12. Would anyone in San Diego County be willing to let us come take a quick look at theirs? It would be greatly appreciated.

Would it help if I made a video of our 2009 MB? If this might work, I’ll send you a message with the link to the video in our private YouTube channel.

Thanks for the offer, Ed. That is so kind of you. Robert has seen some videos online. He now hopes to see one in person.
Update: We have a plan to see a 2007 Midbath in Carlsbad tomorrow.. (35min. away)
