Okay, that's it. No more carpet. Ripped out the stuff in the bathroom (geez, I cannot believe how those LD boys attach everything!) and replaced it with some Mexican tile.

So John, did you use a flexible 'grout' or do you think the floorplan has enough rigidity to not break up the grout? I like the look but without the pedestal elevation, I would only have one row. RonB

I believe underlayment is the key to preventing issues with the grout and tile. The RedGard® Uncoupling Mat may work well.

Just regular grout. I've used Mexican tile and regular grout in a couple of other rigs and never had any cracking. Those rigs did a lot more twisting than the LD. We'll see how it goes. I'll post results. I did install some underlayment which is what the tiles are attached to.
