Title: Weight
Post by: jor on September 29, 2022, 02:31:28 pm
Since we got the LD, I've been curious about its weight. So happens we're in Oregon so I got a chance to weight the Lazy Daze on one of Oregon's convenient roadside scales. Anyhow, I like what I see so far. These weights are with full water and close to full fuel and 3/4 LP (empty waste tanks).

Front: 4400
Rear:  8500
TOTAL: 12900

So this gives me 1600# cushion from the 14.5 GVW.

I weighed the toad too (Suby Forester). 3400# so I'm well within the 4K hitch spec.

I'm going to weigh it again to validate and get a four corner sometime down the road. Good job, Lazy Daze!

Jor, the weights for our 2017 MB and 2015 Forester are similar to yours.  We did the four-corner weighing at the Escapees park in Livingston, TX last October.  Our tanks were the same as yours (full water, gas, and propane, nearly empty waste).  We were on a long trip so we were fully loaded for bear.  :D  Here are our numbers:

Right Front: 2150, Left Front: 2250 =  Total: 4400
Right Rear:  4500, Left Rear: 4650 = Total: 9150
TOTAL: 13,550

The Subie weighed in at 3650.
