Title: GFCI Breaker
Post by: jor on August 13, 2022, 01:02:37 pm
I replaced the GFCI breaker. For posterity, here's the proper replacement from Home Depot. (09 MB) (GFCI (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eaton-BR-15-Amp-All-in-One-AF-GF-Breaker-BRN115A1CS/311720465)) 53 bucks. Weird to have all five receptacles on a GFCI circuit. All is well though.

Hi John;  My 43 year old house has one GFCI circuit breaker to handle all of the outside outlets, kitchen outlets and all three bathrooms outlets.  At least I know where to find it to reset it. In the panel outside.  For my Spa I have a 220V 30A GFCI.  Had to get the electrical inspector out to sign off the permit, because the plumbing inspector didn't know what it was. (that was 40 years ago).  RonB

I looked at my LD Manual and it seems that I have to open the lower portion of the converter cover to check/reset the GFI.

Which also had 4 screws, not quickly opened.

Does that sound correct for a 2010 RB?  Seems crazy.

Cheers

That is where all the AC wiring is in any power centers I've seen. Wouldn't make sense to put a user reset button there!

Steve you are totally correct.

When I opened the “easy to open” top panel - there it was. A 15 amp breaker with a white reset button at the bottom of the breaker.  Duh!

I was looking for a GFI with a reset button, not a breaker with a separate reset.

Thanks for your response as it caused me to really look at it this time.

And Dianne thanks you also so now she knows where it is.

Cheers
