Does anyone know what plug type LD uses for the four pin round plug for brake & turn lights on the back of the spare tire cover? I use to have that adapter from 4 round to 4 flat plug but I cant find mine and one of the industry standard four round plug the Curt 57224 adapters does not fit. We have a 98~MB, I think we got our plug adapter from the Mothership but alas that's no More!
Thanks for your help

Hi guys,
Todd can be reached via email at ldrvtodd@yahoo.com and in the next week or so 909-627-0941 will be activated by Todd for future Lazy Daze communication and assistance!
Give him a call. I’m sure he can help.

Does anyone know what plug type LD uses for the four-pin round plug for brake & turn lights on the back of the spare tire cover?
It is a strange size, I couldn't find the correct plug either. Replacing it with the standard 4-pin plug eliminated the problem, isn't a tough job, and now matches other 4-pin plugs that may be encountered.

Lazy Daze has used Pollak connectors for tow wiring. I believe that this is the socket Lazy Daze used before they switched to six-way connectors (it is the connector I had on my 2015 MB). Our 2019 has the Pollak six-way. I do agree with Kent, though, that you may wish to contact Todd to be sure you get the right part. I’m sure that Todd will also supply the part at a fair price, as well.
Some have upgraded to seven-way connectors in order to: supply power to their Stay-In-Play Duo or similar towed vehicle auxilliary brake device, send a brake pedal actuator signal to an in-dash indicator light, etc….
Here is Pollak’s four-way connector.

Kent Great Idea, I emailed Todd, Todd replied and said that the plugs were a special order for LD and he has some so we are ordering a plug, darn what else should we get that could be hard to find?
Larry, good idea, I am going to leave the original plug setup in place but cut in a flat plug inside the spare tire compartment, then I have both options without changing the external plug. Now I need a wiring diagram for the four wires, I may ask Todd.
Warren Thanks for the information, at this time we are not going to upgrade to 6 or 7 plug, we are just adding additional tail lights on our new bike rack.

The wiring for all towing plugs is standardized and widely available on the internet.
Our LD has two plugs, a 4-pin and a 7-pin, the first for the lights on the bike racks and the 7-pin for towing, including a tow brake and a battery charger.
All my towing installations have included a 7-pin plug for flexibility.

Thank Kent, turns out I have one also in the back of my 98~MB manual. I went a head and spliced in a 4 pin flat plug to run the new lights on our new bike rack. I also ordered from Todd the LD comparable plug, then I have two ways to plug in with a 4 pin connector. Larry we still don't tow a towed with this 98~MB and I think the 135K drive-train appreciates that. The pin plug setup will work for now with the new lights on our new bike rack. I have the 7 pin connectors on our TrailBlazer and all kind of adapters to make it work with all kinds of plugs except the LD one.
