Title: Insurance "Agreed Value Coverage" & LD Value Questions
Post by: rvhiker22 on April 11, 2022, 11:56:57 am
In May I will have had my 2017 mid-bath LD for five years.  It is insured with Progressive in NJ.  I currently have “Total Loss Replacement/Purchase Price” coverage.  I think this expires in May.  I think I can purchase “Agreed Value Coverage.”  I don’t know what this actually means.  I just looked up my LD’s value on NADA and found that the Average Retail price is more than what I paid for the new LD in 2017.  So, I have two questions:  What advice do you have about “Agreed Value Coverage”?  How much are used LDs  actually selling for?   Thank you in advance for any information you can provide me.

Good question, I’d like to know as well.

Just checked my new 2017 TK and it’s worth 6-15 thousand more than I paid.

My understanding of the agreed value coverage is they will not pay you above purchase price unless they assess your RV to verify it is worth more than your paid price.  Your insurance agent should be able to explain the coverage and steps for assessment.
