Title: Keyless RV lock for coach door
Post by: NomadRVr on August 19, 2021, 10:42:42 pm
Which keyless lock system are folks using for their Lazy Daze coach door? I have a 2004, 30' TB, and I'm not sure which keyless system will work.

Thanks,
Phylana

Hi Phylana; Your 2004 has the same door lock as my 1999. That door lock is non replaceable now, and was replaced with a different design by Lazy Daze in about 2010. (I'm guessing there).    There are electronic locks available such as  Bauer NE Bluetooth Keyless RV Entry Door Lock - Left Hand (https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Bauer-NE-Bluetooth-Keyless-RV-Entry-Door-Lock-Left-p/ne-bluetooth-left.htm)
They say not for motorhomes, but if it will fit a trailer, it could work with suitable modifications.  The caveat about motorhomes may have something to do with emergency exit requirements accident/fire codes.  That may also have had something to do with the demise of our design type of door.
Putting in a new style lock won't happen until my present lock has major enough problems. So far it continues to work well enough.  RonB
