My LD 2004 visor back-up camera does not show a picture anymore, just something that looks like Picasso's paintings. Is there a way to fix these things or to replace them? I like having it in the visor so hoping there is a remedy.
Thank you!
Rose
sorry I can't help, but interested to see the visor setup you have, any way you could upload a photo?
from what I've seen on other forums the camera seems pretty swappable with any other one since the connection to the monitor is usually just the yellow video cable, and power.
Other than being caused by a cord with a bad connection, good chance the camera is defective.
I don't know if a matching replacement is available.
Today cameras and monitors are much better than they were 17 years ago, total replacement may be a better solution.

On our ‘15 RB, I had the monitor just simply “ghost” out. Like an alien landscape. Looked like a negative image.
I called Todd and he said Amazon would be my best choice for a replacement. I purchased the identical monitor and tested it on “Tigers” new MB. It worked fine. When I plugged my suspected bad unit into Tigers rig the image was ghosting as it had in my rig.
Amazon sent the monitor quickly and has a return policy. The unit came with cables too which I didn’t need. Great deal. It’s worked flawlessly ever since.

Hey Kent
How about a link to that Amazon device?
Steve,
I just added an image of the bad one. It was a Voyager. I’ll look fo a link. 👍
So it was the monitor that went south, not the camera?
Couldn’t find the exact match on Amazon but etrailer has this. https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Voyager/VOM719WP.html
Or this... https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Rear-View-Safety-Inc/RVS-6139N.html
I’ll keep looking

Yes only the monitor
