I had the front bracket on my 97 MB black tank come loose while I was driving dropping it to the ground and wearing a hole in the front of it. I called Todd at the mothership to get a new one but he told me they no longer carry them. The 97 is a different size to the new ones. He told me that the size is a 30-H. I tried finding on line using this number but don't seem to be able to find one.
Just seeing if anyone has had any experience replacing the black tank on a 97 MB. Haven't been able to get under the rig to measure the old one yet as I am not at home for the next couple of days.
How big is the hole? Could it be patched with Eternabond tape, or more permanently with welded-on plastic material of the same type?

Plastic fabrication shops can hot-air weld patches on a damaged tank. Some RV shops can repair tanks too.
Might even be a DIY project.

If it is the same size, the inlet is still needed, the site states they will install any size fitting in any location.
This may be a good resource to remember, tanks often get damaged.
