Title: The sink area
Post by: tedeboy on June 11, 2021, 05:56:36 pm
I really like how the wire shelves, my under-sink water filter, and paper towel holder are working out.

I also mounted my refrigerator temp monitor to the wall with 3M low profile duo-lock tape.

"I really like how the wire shelves,..."

Yes, you've done a good job so far, I like it too.

But there may be one tiny thing that will make it be the cat's meow!
See that fold up/down fiberglass shelf to the left of the sink? I searched the web until I found just the right size maple cutting board and used the existing hardware to give me a good place to prepare dinner and additional counter space when washing dishes.  ;D   ;)

That sounds like a great upgrade!

I did buy this cutting board and it's been a wonderful addition.

An early improvement, the cutting board has helped produce a lot of meals, a popular, must-have enhancement.

Ted, do you have a link to the wire baskets?  We are thinking about getting some.  Do you leave stuff in them while driving, and how are they holding up?  How are they attached to the thin paneling?

They are holding up well.
I leave them loaded while driving.

I was careful to not over-tighten the screws to insure maximum holding.

Installed a couple of the metal baskets in the kitchen, ala Tedeboy. In addition to the supplied screws, I supplemented with Command strips.  A nice improvement!

Every picture looks awesome! My "to do list" keeps growing and I may never get an opportunity to purchase a new build.
