Title: Strange refrigerator occurrence
Post by: tedeboy on May 30, 2021, 02:41:33 pm
My new Dometic DM2682 lost power.
I ran the generator about an hour and it seemed to occur around that time.

I pulled the fuse to check it and the fuse was fine.
I then reinstalled the fuse, heard a "click", the refrigerator eyebrow control regained power.

I restarted the generator to test it and it is going from AC to LPG no problem.
It seems fine but I'm perplexed and uncertain about its reliability now.

Anyone have insights?

UPDATE:

It's working fine.
As if nothing happened.

Odd.

Hi Ted; A little odd.  Appearance of 110VAC when the generator started would cause it to switch. Maybe a 'glitch' caused the reefer to shut down.  Pulling the fuse and reinstalling it likely reset it, to working condition.  We're talking the DC fuse in the 12 VDC distribution panel (converter) right?  RonB

Dirty fuse contacts, perhaps?

 Yes.
And I thought it "reset" somehow also.
Like a reboot of a computer.
