We're thinking about doing some upgrades to our 2005 26.5 mid bath before our first trip since the pandemic later in the fall. Most of the cushions could use replacement or re-upholstery at the least. Any recommendations for a shop somewhere in the S.F. Bay area? I could just order from the factory, I guess, but their fabric choices are a little short of wife's liking.

I replaced foam and fabric using a local upholsterer. In 2 years, the foam was caving in in my primary sit spots. In three years, I was getting some pilling on the fabric.
I admit that I am a big guy, pushing 280 then, but I am a fulltimer and I sit in exactly the same spot for every meal, and that can be hard on fabrics and foam, but... In hindsight, I wish I had bought from the factory.

Is it just the covering that needs replacement or does the foam need to be replaced as well? I’ve been pretty impressed with how the foam is holding up in our 2003 TK. Not sure how typical that is though.

Steve, the foam from the factory held up much better than the foam used in my replacements.

That's my fear as well, but it's sounding like it might be the best option. I'll have to see what the new blue pattern is like.

After 4 months/year of travel over 16 years, the fabric in a couple of places is worn through and just beginning to tear and the foam has gotten pretty soft and buckled where we sit. Both need replacement I think.

Since you are in the Bay Area, I would check out the marine options for foam and upholstery replacement, they are designed to last. Most marine shops can advise you and do the work.

David, I just saw this place in San Leandro recommended by an owner on the Lazy Daze RV Club facebook page. I have no personal experience with this shop. Right off the 880:
