A bike rack for an LD needs a long shank to clear the spare tire cover. Make sure the rack has a fold up and down feature, to allow access to the spare, that or the rack will need removing to access the spare.
Many bike racks have long shanks, a lot of cars need a long shank, to clear the rear bumper or trunk.

I have a thule rack on my MB and it stays out of the way of the tire cover without issue.

I think the rack I have tilts, but I have never tilted it since the MB carries the spare in one of the side compartments instead of under the spare tire cover.
