Title: Removing Face Plate of the Refrigerator
Post by: Don Malpas on February 17, 2021, 06:16:28 pm
I would like to change the decorative faceplates on the refrigerator. I guess that's what they are called. The simulated wood grain. What/How do you take apart to remove them?

Don, your model may be very different then ours (2008 dometic).  Ours has screws on the metal part that goes around the panel inserts.  Top of the fridge, bottom of the freezer. I have not taken those screws out confirm, but that would be my first guess.

Jane, Our 2007 RM2662 does not have screws, but on closer inspection, there is a plastic piece on the top of the door that can be pried off. This allows the wood panel to slide up and out. Well, out after I remove the doors to get enough overhead clearance.
Thanks

This what I am going after.

Don, on a different subject, what is the sheer curtain behind your cab seats?

Karen has also wanted to change out the woodgrain panels  on our refrigerator in our 98~MB.  Does anyone know if other panels are available?
