Hi KMK20; (we encourage people to use real names); So the latches inside don't keep the doors closed?
This is the type of latch that my closet doors use. One at the top, one at the bottom for each door. 10 Pack Rok Hardware Roller Catch Brown Oil-Rubbed Bronze Copper Finish...     Don't try to drill holes in the glass. It can be done, but takes special equipment. Generally it will just result in broken pieces and a large bill for a new mirror.  The handles are glued on. Double sided tape might work. Three years ago the factory had a bent stainless steel handle that screwed into the edge of the door. A little trim of the front edge plastic was needed to make room for the handle that extended outward.
I edited this to be clearer....    RonB

"One (mirror looking material) handle won't stay on, going to try..."

Fast set epoxy may work but a better idea would be to go to an automotive parts store and ask for the tiny boitle of the stuff used to reapply rear view mirrors to the windshield.   ;)

We just bought a new set of handles. Adhesive is peel and stick. Theresa

My fix for the doors opening.
I found that the device on the door wasn't lined up good enough to the catch on the closet. I moved the catches on the closet framing to line up with the thingies on the doors.  Perfection has been achieved.
