Title: shaking door while driving
Post by: majortom on November 22, 2020, 11:04:59 am
pretty new to RVing, and was wondering if it's common to have the door shake around while driving?

Seems like the wind is making it jiggle around causing it to seem as if it was semi open even though it is not at all.

We put both locks on just to make sure it won't open up accidentally, but if anyone knows any way to make it better lmk!

Hi Tom;  Adjusting the door latch is needed because of the normal loosening of the hardware from opening and closing the door.  It takes a bit of 'fiddling' and can be a good learning experience. I've a bit of practice, on three doors. Takes awhile to get it just right.  A good impact driver, screwdrivers and allen wrenches. Some oil and lots of time needed.    RonB

If it's anything like mine, it needs to be shut with authority - not slamming, not quite.
