Title: Re: Dometic Refrigerator Mis-Fires
Post by: chendorpg on July 30, 2020, 05:25:10 pm
I have 1990 laze daze my refrigerator dometic is not working properly  with propane. The RV mechanic told me that the shut off solenoid valve stopped  working and he advised me to replace the refrigerator. It works with ac but is not working properly with gas.
I know it’s 30 years old or so but I want to look for the part or make an adjustment. The model of the refrigerator is “Royale series RM 3604 I don’t know what to do
Any suggestions please.

This might help if you're technically inclined:

It might not be an exact match for the year/model you have, but it should be you close.

I have the same refrigerator and have the same problem.  I printed out the service manual and am having a tech come and work on it.
Can you please tell me the model and serial number on the tag inside your refrigerator?  I need to order a trim piece replacement and I have no tags in my refrigerator and Dometic will not help me without those numbers.
Thanks,

Update:  I had a tech come out.  It turns out the tag is in the lower left side on the BACK of my refrigerator from the outside, not inside like all the parts places tell me.  Anyway, my frig was igniting on gas, but not switching over from AC to gas.  I was told I need a new control board.  I’d much rather buy a new board than replace the entire unit.
