Looks that way. From 2019....

"Chuck Carvitto, died 05/04/2018. He had no children and his wife Sue died before him. He had closed his shop in Ridgecrest, CA, a few years ago and was selling custom valve stems by mail order. I don't think there was anyone to take over the tire stem business."

Chuck mailed me a set of extenders back in Oct 2017 for my newly purchased MB.  He REALLY stressed the importance of having the extenders installed correctly.   He actually kept a listing of places across the country that had installed his extenders.  The closest place to me was a tire place near Cleveland, OH - 4 hours.  Having read on this forum some of the challenges involved in using "just any old place", I'm still waiting to make the trip.  I don't know what was the cause of Chuck's death, but when I talked to him back then he was really looking forward to an upcoming fishing trip.

I too talked to Chuck in 2017; in June after we purchased our Twin King. He later called me to let me know he had just shipped the stems and to make sure I took his instructions to the shop to have them installed.

I dealt with Kelly @ extension 111

I liked Chuck and miss him, as do many others here on the forum.  Nonetheless, this is another excellent source.  It worked for me when I needed longer stems for my tire pressure monitoring system...………
