When shopping for most RV parts, including awnings, the internet is your friend.
If your LD was not originally ordered with an awning it probably will not have the frame blocking, used to attach and secure the awning to the coach.
Adding a generator to an older LD is very expensive and sometimes not possible without a custom mounting frame being fabricated. The factory parts are not available anymore and have not been for a long time.
I would look for a shop that specializes in aftermarket generator installations, it's tough to do it right. Some older LDs, without generators, were prewired for a generator, some were not, the same goes for rigs ordered without roof A/Cs.
Portable generators have a lot of issue too, how do you carry it, and more importantly, how do you safely carry many gallons of gasoline?
Generators carried on the back bumper have a habit of disappearing quickly.
LD used to sell rigs with many of the many of today's standard equipment optional. Generators, roof A/Cs and awnings could all be deleted or not ordered.

Mine has the wiring run to a box at the bottom of the compartment behind the passenger seat. Mine was ordered without the generator. I have given a minute amount of time thinking about adding one someday.

May I ask why? The reason I'm asking is there maybe some options that can solve your problem without adding a gas generator or an awning.
